goddamn the art style in majora’s mask was so awesome
they really need to make a graphics engine to emulate that look for the next game

Here we see an adult Toon Link…Something we haven’t seen outside of this statue in the Wind Waker. We haven’t seen a young Link in a non-toon style since Wind Waker, even though every Link until Twilight Princess Started their careers as kids. Seems like they’re limiting themselves stylistically. When are we going to see Adult Toon Link, and semi-realistic Young Link (again)?
I call this one, Freakishly-Long-Arms-and-a-Turtleneck Link.

ah yes. the sky-texture great void beyond the 2 dimensional high cliffs surrounding all accessible parts of hyrule
ocarina of time takes place within the same universe as super mario 64, work that into your timeline

somewhere in my psyche, 8-year old travis is pretty dang happy right now
this is probably as close as i’m going to get to the phantom ‘perfect’ lego Link that’s dogged me nearly my entire life. i sort of wish i didn’t have to go with the sculpted/painted hair/hat but overall, i think it’s a pretty decent effort.
i also have a “modern” Link that is sort of a mix between OoT, TP, and Skyward Sword styles, i feel like i did an OK job on him, but retro Link is definitely my favorite.

i really like the way his decals turned out - i like how the belts look a whole lot. i also like his gauntlets. the shield could obviously be much, much better. it was a curved surface, so the decal was much harder to fit than the other one.
legos sure are fun guys!!!
A legend in the sky, a hero among clouds
christ am I glad the game didn’t look like this

my official position on zelda timelines is “i dont give a fuck”
i think most of the games weren’t made with it in mind and were just made to be good games
and unless a connection is made explicitly in the games themselves (i.e. the stained glass windows in Wind Waker) i assume they have no connections whatsoever
the ending of Skyward Sword sets this up extremely well for reasons i won’t go into cause i know a lot of you haven’t finished it yet
